What we Believe
We believe that God is alive and active in oureveryday lives through the working of the Holy Spirit
Statement of Faith
We believe in one eternal and triune God: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. We acknowledge God as the Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer of all things, perfect in holiness, justice, love, and truth. We believe that the Holy Scriptures (The Bible), the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired and authoritative Word of God. They are infallible and reliable in teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, guiding us in all matters of faith and practice. We believe in Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, who through His conception by the Holy Spirit and birth to the virgin Mary, took on human flesh. Jesus is the Anointed One, empowered by the Holy Spirit to establish God’s kingdom on earth. He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected, ascended into heaven, and now reigns in the presence of God the Father and within His people. Jesus is both fully God and fully man. We believe in salvation through God’s grace alone, received by faith in Jesus Christ. Through repentance, belief, and acceptance of Jesus as Savior and Lord, we are restored to a relationship with God. The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, justifies, sanctifies, and adopts believers as sons and daughters of God’s kingdom. We believe in the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, who indwells every believer. The Holy Spirit empowers and enables us to live a holy life and supernaturally engage in ministry. The baptism of the Holy Spirit, as described in Acts 1:4-8 and 2:4, is poured out upon believers, equipping them with God’s power to be His witnesses. We believe in the redemptive work of Christ on the cross, through which believers find freedom from the power of the enemy – sin, lies, sickness, and torment. We believe in the Church, comprised of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The Church, initiated by Jesus, observes the ordinances of baptism and communion. Its purpose is to continue the ministry of Jesus, advancing His kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy, proclaiming and embodying God’s love, and discipling all nations. We believe in the ultimate triumph of God’s kingdom and eagerly anticipate the glorious and visible return of Jesus Christ. He will rule and reign with His overcoming bride – the Church. We believe in the reality of heaven and hell, with the expectation of a future resurrection for both the saved and the lost – everlasting life for the redeemed and everlasting death for those who reject God’s offer of salvation.
Jesus Christ
01
Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the trinity(godhead). On earth, Jesus was 100% god and 100% man. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life. He was born of a virgin, performed miracles, died on the cross for mankind and thus, atoned for our sins through the shedding of His blood. He rose from the dead on the third day according to the scriptures, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in power and glory.

Luke 1:27-35
Repentance
02
True repentance means turning towards Jesus and in us doing so, He leads us to new life, free from the bondages and weight of sin.
Hebrews 8:12 / Isaiah 43:25
03
Salvation
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ: His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human efforts.
Ephesians 2:8-9 / Galatians 2:16 / Titus 3:5 / Romans 10:9-10 / Acts 16:31 / Hebrews 9:22
04
Sanctification
Now that I have received salvation and understand what it means, what comes next?
Sanctification is the ongoing process of yielding to God’s Word and His Spirit in order to complete the development of Christ’s character in us. It is through the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God that the Christian is able to live a godly life.
1 Thessalonians 4:3, 5:23 / 1 Corinthians 3:18,6:14-18 / Thessalonians 2:1-3 / Romans 8:29, 12:1-2 / Hebrews 2:11
05
Baptism of the
Holy Spirit
Given at Pentecost, it is the promise of the Father, sent by Jesus after His ascension, to empower the Church to preach the gospel throughout the whole earth.
Joël 2:28-29 / Matthew 3:11 / Mark 16:17 / Acts 1:5, 2:1-4, 17, 38-39, 8:14-17, 10:38, 44-47, 11:15-17, 19:1-6
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
06
The Bible
The Holy Bible and only the Bible is the authoritative word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, it is inspired, infallible and inerrant.
2 Timothy 3:16 / 2 Peter 1:20-21 / Proverbs 30:5 / Romans 16:25-26
07
The Trinity
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal.
1 John 5:7 / Genesis 1:26 / Matthew 3:16-17 /Luke 1:35 / Isaiah 9:6 / Hebrews 3:7-11
Jesus' Blood
08
The blood that Jesus Christ shed on the cross of Calvary was sinless and is 100% sufficient to cleanse mankind of all sin. Jesus allowed Himself to be punished for both our sinfulness and our sins, enabling all those who believe to be free from the penalty of sin, which is death.
1 John 1:7 / Revelation 1:5, 5:9 / Colossians 1:20 / Romans 3:10-12, 23, 5:9 / John 1:29
What we believe regarding the Holy Spirit
09
The Fruit of the Spirit
The indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit produces in us good fruit for others to see. The Bible states that we shall be known by our fruit and therefore we do not judge fellow believers by their gifts and talents (although these are also from the Holy Spirit). We should always pursue love first and then the spiritual gifts and our focus should be on the Giver and not the gifts.
Fruit of the Spirit is: LOVE | JOY | PEACE | LONGSUFFERING | KINDNESS | GOODNESS | FAITHFULNESS | GENTLENESS | SELF-CONTROL
Matthew 7:16, Galatians 5:22-23, 2 Timothy 1:7
The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is manifested through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and sanctify the Church, demonstrate the validity of the resurrection, and confirm the power of the gospel. The Bible lists of these gifts are not necessarily exhaustive, and the gifts may occur in various combinations. All believers are commended to earnestly desire the gifts in their lives. These gifts always operate in harmony with the scriptures and should never be used in violation of biblical parameters.
The Gifts of the Holy Spirit is: The Word of Knowledge | The Word of Wisdom | The Gift of Prophecy | The Gift of Faith | The Gifts of Healing | The Working of Miracles | The Discerning of Spirits | Different Kinds of Tongues | The Interpretation of Tongues
Hebrews 2:4 / Romans 1:11, 12:4-8 / Ephesians 4:16 / 1 Timothy 4:14 / 2 Timothy 1:6-7 / 1 Corinthians 12: 1-31, 14:1-40 / 1 Peter 4:10
Praying in Tongues
The biblical basis for praying in tongues can be found in the book of Acts. In these passages, the disciples and believers received the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues as a manifestation of His presence. Praying in tongues deepens our relationship with God and allows the Holy Spirit to intercede on our behalf. It also builds you up spiritually and helps you to live a Spirit-led life.
Mark 16:17 / 1 Corinthians 14:2,23,27-28
10
The Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfilment of Jesus’ great commission. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers. There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22 / Hebrews 12:23 / John 17:11, 20-23
The Church is the body of Christ

These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.” - Mark 16:16-17
God's will for provision
13
It is the Father’s will for believers to become whole, healthy and successful in all areas of life. But because of the fall, many may not receive the full benefits of God’s will while on earth. That fact, though, should never prevent all believers from seeking the full benefits of Christ’s provision in order to better serve others.

Beliefs regarding sexuality
15
The Bible teaches us how to think and behave when it comes to our sexuality. God created us as sexual beings before sin entered the world, and He has given us boundaries for expressing ourselves sexually. Scripture addresses the complexities of our sexuality, recognizing that it is shaped by our family, community, and culture. Without socialization, there are few natural limitations to human sexuality. Therefore, God has taught us His values to create healthy individuals and societies.
In the past, God socialized Israel to understand and practice proper and healthy expressions of sex. Just like any other pleasure in life, sex can be wonderful or destructive. God taught Israel that certain sexual behaviours, such as incest, adultery, homosexuality, prostitution, bestiality, group sex, and sexual coercion, were unacceptable to Him, regardless of their appeal. These boundaries are not human inventions but divine revelations that guide us in socializing with one another and stewarding the gift of sex.
When we refuse to acknowledge and honour God, we become disconnected from reality. Denying God’s existence or disregarding His rightful authority leads to a distortion of truth and the pursuit of power and pleasure. Our thoughts, emotions, and wills become unreliable, and we end up worshiping created things rather than the Creator.
God values freedom because it is part of being made in His image. However, when we worship things other than God, we become enslaved by our desires, which leads to idolatry. Instead of coercing devotion, God allows individuals and societies to experience the damaging effects of sin, which can distort their humanity.
The increasing acceptance and normalization of various gender identities and same-sex sexual behaviour indicate a society that has abandoned the objective truth of our male and female biology. This suppression and distortion of God’s design for humanity is not healthy.
Jesus teaches His followers a sexual ethic that differs from modern society. He reaffirms the Genesis 1 view of sex, gender, and marriage, emphasizing that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. Jesus also acknowledges the option of remaining single and celibate. He challenges His followers to resist lust and to view themselves and others as more than objects of sexual gratification. Lust destroys respect, intimacy, and bonding, reducing people to objects to be collected and discarded. Jesus creates a community where people protect and care for one another, resisting the sexualization of relationships.
As Christians, we strive to embrace the standard of Jesus in creating safe and noble communities, but we often fall short. The Church has sometimes acted hypocritically or failed to acknowledge our own struggles. We seek forgiveness and grace to grow and live according to Christ’s calling.
Jesus consistently saw the beauty and worth in people, regardless of societal perceptions. He showed perfect love and unflinching truth, inviting people to a new way of life. As His followers, we aim to treat all people with respect, dignity, compassion, and love, even when we disagree with them. We reject any form of violence, force, manipulation, shame, or humiliation in therapy, as these are ineffective and abusive. Instead, we listen, ask questions, share our stories, and create an environment of authenticity and grace where all individuals can pursue the freedom that Jesus offers.
We advocate for access to resources that assist individuals in their personal journeys of self-understanding, including counselling, teaching, parental support, role models, intellectual conversations, and healthy communities. We recognize that some individuals may no longer identify as LGBTQ through these processes, just as others may embrace an LGBTQ identity. Freedom and access to resources should be protected, regardless of the outcome.
