Generosity is an act of worship. When we give from God’s blessings, we display gratitude, devotion, and trust. Malachi 3:10 reminds us to bring the first 10% into the storehouse, enabling Be Light Church to fulfil God’s vision and fuel ministry, outreach, and transformation.

What Is a First Fruits Offering?
In the Bible, first fruits meant giving the first and best of the harvest back to God—as an act of faith, gratitude, and trust in His provision.Today, it’s not about crops—but about honouring God with the first and best of what we receive: a salary, bonus, or unexpected blessing. It’s a way of saying, “God, You come first in my life.”
A first fruits offering is different from your regular tithe. While tithing is the ongoing giving of 10% of your income, first fruits is a special, one-time gift—something extra, done above and beyond your tithe.
It’s usually given at the start of a new year, season, or breakthrough, as a way to thank God and dedicate what’s ahead to Him. When we give freely and joyfully, we make space for God's favour, provision, and presence in every area of our lives.
