Helping people find their true identity as sons and daughters of God by re-uniting them with their Father, through His Son Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Reformation
Teaching people the word of God that brings conviction and leads them to true repentance, which is followed by signs, wonders and miracles - making God’s Kingdom a reality on earth.

Transforming communities, cities and every sphere of society by training and teaching believers and sending them out to go and make followers of Jesus.

Be Light Church was birthed from God’s heart for Africa, with a vision to influence nations. We seek to create a vibrant, diverse Christian community that moves beyond religious constraints, celebrating individuality while encouraging an authentic pursuit of Jesus.

God is active in our daily lives, so Be Light Church embraces the supernatural—prophecy, healing, miracles, and powerful works of God. Entrusted with His mission of reconciliation, revival, and reformation, we aim to spread Jesus’ light across the Nations. Our country has been marked by racial division and xenophobia, and we’re driven to heal these injustices, by illuminating hearts with God’s extravagant love, uniting every race, color, and culture.
OUR LEADERSHIP
Lucio & Carmen Basson
Lead Pastors
Lucio and Carmen Basson are the visionary leaders of BE LIGHT AFRICA, dedicated to building a healthy church that leads people to Jesus. Born and raised in Cape Town, they followed God’s call to Pretoria for four years before returning to continue their mission. They are blessed with two daughters and two rescued felines.

Lucio, a SATS graduate with an apostolic calling, is passionate about the marketplace, seeing people walk
in freedom, and witnessing God’s Kingdom manifest through signs, wonders, and miracles. Carmen, a prophetic voice and co-pastor. She has a heart for deliverance ministry and equipping women to discover their identity and calling in Christ.

Firm believers that no one is an island, the Bassons emphasize the importance of spiritual accountability and leadership. They submit under the covering of Anton and Kari Smith (Kingdom GPS) and champion a culture where the Body of Christ is connected, strong, and flourishing.​​
